WHEN SHOULD I START SHOPPING FOR MY WEDDING DRESS?

There's no definitive answer here. We recommend that you go dress shopping 12-18 months before your big day. Designers can take up to 6 months to make & send your dress and then alterations are usually done 1-3 months before so ideally you don't want to leave it any later than that. That being said most designers do offer 'rush' orders however this is usually for an extra fee and as a bride you will have so many other things to think about closer to the day you don't want the dress to be one of them. If you're wedding is in a smaller lead time please give us a call to chat through your options.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING WITH ME?

We have seating in the boutique for the Bride and up to four guests comfortably and we would recommend you bring a few key people with you who's opinion you trust - dress shopping can be a fun but overwhelming experience and sometimes lot's of opinions can become confusing. However we can sometimes accommodate more guests with prior notice so please ask us for more information.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We recommend you wear something comfortable that's easy to whip on and off. We also suggest you wear nude or pale seamless underwear but whatever you feel comfortable in is fine with us. Most dresses you won't usually need a bra but bring a strapless one just in case or if you feel more comfortable.

I'M FEELING A BIT NERVOUS OR SHY ABOUT GETTING DRESSED IN FRONT OF A STRANGER?

We completely get it - it can feel a bit daunting to some people taking their clothes off to a complete stranger and that's totally ok. A lot of people will need help getting into the dresses but we will always ask before coming into the changing area with you and check you are comfortable with us helping you into the dress. If you aren't we can ask you to pop yourself into the dress and then come in to help you fasten or rearrange ready to show friends, family etc.
Usually once people have tried a couple on it feels more natural & everyone is only there to support you finding that perfect purchase. We also provide robes you can pop on if we need to pull out some more dresses.

WHAT SIZE DRESSES DO YOU STOCK?

As the dresses are made to order we stock a range of sample sizes to help you find something that you love allowing for different shapes & sizes. Our samples stock ranges from a size 10-26.
Don’t worry if the dresses don’t fit you perfectly, there are lots of little tricks that we have to give you a good idea of what it will look like when you order.
